Ferry Plaza Farmers Market may permanently leave Embarcadero

BART RETROFIT THREATENS FERRY BUILDING’S MARKET / Operators fear that the lengthy construction project will crowd out regional farmers and the throngs who shop at the open-air stands

From the SFgate.com article, “The Ferry Plaza Farmers Market, which draws tens of thousands of people to the San Francisco waterfront each Saturday, will permanently leave its scenic home on the Embarcadero next summer if a BART retrofit takes over too much of its space, a market official said Tuesday.”

Oh no! 🙁 I hope they can figure out another solution!
