I finally made the switch back to a BlackBerry (7290). It was a tough decision to buy now, as the 8700 is coming out pretty soon and looks really nice. However, the price was right – free. Overall I’m pretty happy with the customer service I’ve received from T-Mobile although I’ve only spoken with them a few times. One word of caution – the blackberry data plans do not include SMS. And since their IM client uses SMS, you could rack up some serious charges without realizing it. I spent $0.55 in 1 minute of testing the service before I realized I was paying $0.05 per incoming/outgoing message. T-Mobile could definitely be more explicit when explaining these charges.

  1. Kumar,
Sorry for the delay in responding (I was travelling). They don’t give you any SMS with their BlackBerry plans. I think they do include some SMS with their other data plans but nothing with the BB ones.

    I got it from http://www.wirelessbuy.com

  2. I thought you got unlimited SMS if you chose their unlimited data plan! (I guess unlimited is not what it means 🙂
Where did you get it for free?
