I want to throw some support to my favorite pastry shop/chef in the Bay Area – Fleur de Cocoa. I challenge anyone to find better pasty in a hundred mile radius. If you find some, please tell me.

You must eat/try: Milles-Feuilles, Chocolate and Coffee Eclairs, Opera, Marion, Royal, and Satin. My favorites are the Royal and the Satin (but I always love a good charlotte). Although not made onsite, also get a pack of Fleur de sel caramels.

Chef Pascal Janvier can usually be seen working hard in the back. He possesses that intense look in his eyes that all great chefs have. I’ve talked to French people who have had his pastry and they all concur that this is a true French patisserie.

Le meilleur!
