Helping toddlers with motion sickness – Natural Remedy

My son developed motion sickness while in the car when he was about 18 months old. It was especially bad when his car seat was rear facing. We didn’t want to medicate him and wanted a natural remedy. The Sea-Band Child Wristband have been extremely helpful. They work by using acupressure. We found that it was important to have him wear the bands before he started having symptoms, so as soon as we got into the car. While it wasn’t a complete cure, we managed to avoid him throwing up in the car since we started using them. They are also a life saver we fly with our toddler. Speaking of throwing up, we always have one of these emesis bags (barf bags) with us in the car. They make a messy situation much more manageable. Also, keep a spare one in your diaper bag as well.

Nice, always opted for a pill and a nap on boats. Glad the bands seem to help.
