How to clean toddler shoes

My son loves to play in dirt, mud, sand, and anything messy. I’ve had surprisingly good luck washing his shoes in the washing machine. This has worked for both shoes explicitly marked washable and also those that were not. However, most of the time he just has some dirt on the soles on the shoes and it doesn’t warrant a full wash. For these times, I absolutely love the Scrusher Boot & Shoe Brush. I mounted it to an inexpensive concrete paver from HomeDepot to help keep it from moving around. I didn’t even ask my son to use it, I just used it myself while he watched. He immediately wanted to try it and now diligently uses it all by himself anytime his shoes are dirty.
