Beating disease and cancer – healthy vegan diet books

Recently, as a result of family members having health issues, I’ve been extensively researching healthy living. After digging through many medical studies and reading numerous diet books, I’ve assembled a reading list of materials I trust. If you or a family member has diabetes, heart disease, autoimmune disorders, or cancer, you owe it to yourself to read them.

Great history of disease:
The China Study: The Most Comprehensive Study of Nutrition Ever Conducted And the Startling Implications for Diet, Weight Loss, And Long-term Health by T. Colin Campbell

Excellent book for people with heart disease, high blood pressure, or high cholesterol:
Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease: The Revolutionary, Scientifically Proven, Nutrition-Based Cure by Caldwell B. Esselstyn Jr.

Great book for healthy living with a focus on high micronutrient foods to help prevent disease and cancer:
Eat to Live: The Amazing Nutrient-Rich Program for Fast and Sustained Weight Loss, Revised Edition by Joel Fuhrman

Excellent book on diabetes:
Dr. Neal Barnard’s Program for Reversing Diabetes: The Scientifically Proven System for Reversing Diabetes without Drugs by Neal D. Barnard M.D.

Each book has a unique perspective, but overall, all tend to generally agree with one another. Each is absolutely worth the read. Enjoy!
